Highway 120 from Crane Flat to the junction of Highway 120/140 in Yosemite Valley is still closed due to the fire. If you’re coming from San Francisco or Sacramento and your destination is Yosemite Valley, you’ll want to continue down Highway 99 to Highway 140 in Merced and enter the park through the Arch Rock Entrance on Highway 140.

If you’re in Groveland or Big Oak Flat and want to go to Yosemite Valley you can either drive down priests grade and take the Highway 49 turnoff by the fish hatchery at the bottom of the hill or take Highway 132 from Highway 120 just east of Big Oak Flat. At Coulterville continue on Highway 49 south to Mariposa. In Mariposa you can take Highway 140 into Yosemite via the Arch Rock entrance or continue on turn right on main street in Mariposa and then turn left on Highway 49 and continue on to Oakhurst where you can enter via the Highway 41 South Entrance.

If you’re coming from Tioga Pass, Tuolumne Meadows, White Wolf and want to go to Yosemite Valley you have about a 2 hour drive around the fire to Mariposa and back in the park via the Higwhway 140 entrance.

For more current road conditions you can call the National Park Service at 209-372-0200 then press 1 and 1 again at the menu.
