Badger Pass is Open? Snow in Yosemite Valley? Can this be real?

Although we’re far from being out of the woods (all puns intended) where the drought is concerned in California, the last couple weeks of rain and snow have really helped out. Not to mention ski resorts are finally opening up again including Badger Pass right here in Yosemite.

Currently there are 9/10 trails and 4/5 lifts open at Badger. There’s a 14″ base of fresh powder with 22″ at the summit. Not too shabby.

Oh, you don’t ski? How about taking a lesson? Maybe going snowshoeing? Playing in the snow? Ice skating? Tobogganing? We’ve got snow all the way down into Yosemite Valley and there’s lots to do.

So, grab your beanie and your warm gloves and call in sick. There’s plenty of fresh snow to go around and lots to do!
