People have been nice enough to send me some of their photos so I’ll be posting them over the next few days. To start off, Chaz sent in this awesome photo of Yosemite Valley.
“Sunday, 1-15-06. 5:02p.m. Sunset commenced and alpenglow washed over Cloud’s Rest and Half Dome as the cool valley floor offered up its misty veil… ”
Beautiful shot. Thanks, Chaz.
If you’d like to send in a photo please feel free to email it to me (send it to: loyd@yosemiteblog.com) or you can upload it to Flickr and tag it: yosemiteblog.com. If you already have it posted on another site send me the URL and I’ll see what I can do.
To all of those who’ve sent in photos (especially you Deb and Terry), thank you. I’ll be posting a lot more of them over the next few weeks.

Chaz…this is a stunning photograph. Cool and warm and it really puts me right there. Nice work!
Thank you, Debbie. You may be old enough to remember this Kodak advertising slogan from yesteryear: “You Press the Button – We Do the Rest.”
Well, when I’m in Yosemite I have amended that slogan to read, “You Press the Button – Mother Nature Does the Rest!”
Recently posted some of my own thoughts on ‘Aplenglow’ on my blog… Great picture!
