If you’ve never been to Bodie you’re probably asking yourself, “What is Bodie?” Well it’s an old silver mine ghost town that’s being kept in a state of arrested decay as part of a California State Park. What’s great is walking through the town you can look in the windows of many of the buildings and see the dinner table set just like it was when the house was in use as if someone had just eerily disappeared. It’s really worth a day trip and it’s not to expensive so it won’t break the bank. Kids love it and you can even get you dog out of the hotel kennel and bring them along.
