Backpacker: “Because the ingredients and process are so elegantly simple, coffee is one of the few things that tastes every bit as good in the woods as it does in your kitchen. That’s true whether you drip it right into your mug with a paper filter or play backcountry barista with a lightweight grinder and French press. Just make sure you pack the Right Stuff-I swear by Peet’s Sumatra (www.peets.com). And whatever you do, don’t ruin my morning with a packet of instant. I’d sooner sip chamomile tea.
But such desperation won’t be necessary today. After 6 interminable minutes of boiling and 90 seconds of careful brewing, nirvana is in hand, steaming and pungent. I sip and feel the world come into focus and give thanks. Yes, today is going to be beautiful.”

I used a JetBoil and Melitta Filter Cone on my Grand Canyon rim-to-rim trek last year. The JetBoil gets your water boiled in under 2 minutes. Works like a champ! I told my compadre’s that I was going on tour across the canyon setting up demo’s along the way (lol).
