Five years ago I started Yosemite Blog on the advice of Dane (yosemiter.com) and it’s been growing ever since. Every month over 22,000 people visit the site to catch up with news, photos, video and information about the park.
I’d just like to take a moment to thank everyone of you for your support, emails, photos, wonderful comments, and for taking the time out of their day everyday to read Yosemite Blog. There really is a community of people who love Yosemite and I’m proud to be part of it. You guys are awesome.
Here’s to 5 more years.

Congratulations Loyd on a great 5 years. Yosemiteblog is the first place I look to keep up on news on Yosemite.
I remember reading this blog before I left Rhode Island to work here in Yosemite. Loyd, you’ve answered so many questions for so many people–including me. Thank you for all your work. Like all labors of love, it is deeply appreciated.

Happy 5th B-Day YosemiteBlog!!! I really appreciate all the hard work you all put into this. I’m a daily reader and would feel lost without it!

Thanks, Loyd, for all you do.
I, too, read Yosemite Blog daily and use its information often both in the Elderhostels I present for ECCO (Evergreen Conference Center Oakhurst) and as a volunteer for Yosemite Sierra Visitors’ Bureau–as well as planning personal trips.
Keep up the good work.
Judi
Congratulations on the milestone! I love the blog and check it frequently. Keep up the great work!
