Summer Road Work

In Road Conditions, Safety, Travel
Traffic by Dolan Halbrook

In Yosemite, where the seasons are shorter because of the altitude, summer is often the only time when road work can be completed. Sure, it’s an inconvenience on your vacation having to stop for 10-15 minutes for the flag man but think of it this way, it’s your chance to slow down and experience the scenery instead of racing through and missing it from the drivers seat of your RV. Here’s a list of the current road work projects taking place within the park.

Road Work on Tioga Road

Please be advised that roads crews will be working on roadside brushing operations on Tioga road at various sites between Tamarack campground and White Wolf. Short traffic delays should expected.

Wawona Road-Area Pavement Preservation (June-September)

Starting Tuesday, June 19th crews will begin pavement preservation work on the Wawona Road and secondary Roads (Chilnualna Falls Road — Forest Drive) in the Wawona Area.
