Get ready for long entrance lines, packed parking lots and traffic jams, it’s time for another free entry weekend in Yosemite. Photo by Dolan Halbrook.

It’s August and Summer is in full swing. You could spend the day sweltering in the heat in the city or relishing the fog of the Bay Area but why not take a trip up to Yosemite, after all, it’s FREE.

For the weekend of August 14th and 15th visitors to Yosemite and other National Parks will get in FREE of charge to help stimulate visitation to America’s National Parks.

As always with these events, count on lots or cars in the Valley and long lines to get in and for all the major attractions.
