The fire is visible from almost everywhere in the park. Here a visitor stopped beside turtleback dome and caught some video of the fire on the ridge across the river. This really puts into perspective where the fire is. Video by VaskoTV.
Wow the air quality cam is taking some pretty impressive shots of the fire as dawn is starting to break. Click the image for a slightly bigger size. That’s some flare up.
The Big Meadow fire is continuing to grow with flames now visible on the air quality webcam. Wow! You can see where it’s been and where it is now. Pretty impressive. Going to watch this all day.

The Big Meadow Fire has grown to 2,200 acres. No homes have been lost in the blaze but residents of Foresta and campers in the Crane Flat Campground were evacuated as a precaution.
