  • Big Meadow Fire Scorches 2200 Acres – Only 10% Contained

    The Big Meadow Fire has grown to 2,200 acres. No homes have been lost in the blaze but residents of Foresta and campers in the Crane Flat Campground were evacuated as a precaution.   • Foresta Evacuated – Second Fire Now Burning

    Image courtesy Yosemiter.com Just got some breaking news: Foresta has been evacuated. There are also reports of a second fire burning in the park, possibly a spot fire from the larger Big Oak Flat Road (Big Meadow) fire. You can see both fires burning on the NPS Air Quality Webcam.
