From the webcam view on Turtleback Dome it doesn’t appear there has been much growth and the fire in fact, looks to be smoldering. Hopefully all the great men and women who came to help fight the fire and the higher humidity overnight have got this monster beat.

Someone on NPS Fire happened to have a video camera the day they were setting the Big Meadow Fire and later efforts to get the fire back under control. Or at least it looks like that’s what’s happening. There’s no time stamp or audio on the video so it’s hard to tell. Pretty cool video [...]
The National Park Service put up a map showing the Big Meadow fire’s perimeter. As you can see the fire is part way around Foresta. I’m not sure if this are is still burning or has already burned though.
