Photo of the Day: Fiery Evening Sky, Tuolumne Meadows by G. Dan Mitchell
It’s always a pleasure to see one of Dan Mitchell’s beautiful photos and today’s Photo of the Day is what I would consider one of his best. Dan captured this awesome shot at sunset in Tuolumne Meadows of lenticular clouds (a favorite subject of the late Galen Rowell) reflecting the pink and red hues from the setting sun to the west.

Thanks for linking to this photo and, even more, for your very nice comments about the photography. I was a very special evening in Tuolumne last Friday night and I was very fortunate to be there with my camera!
